T-Shirt Combat Anti-Static Black PCS

COOLMAX® fabric is a technical fabric that efficiently wicks moisture away using the temperature differential. Moisture released by the skin is not absorbed by Coolmax; instead it moves, evaporating, from one air pocket to another. On reaching the outer layer, it evaporates completely. For maximum effect, the material must fit closely against the skin. As a polyester, it is moderately hydrophobic, so it absorbs little liquid and dries relatively quickly (compared with absorbent fibres such as cotton).

As it evaporates, moisture absorbs the heat needed to change from liquid to gas. This slightly cools the surface of the material, preventing the skin from overheating. That is why Coolmax T-shirts are so popular — heat is far easier to bear in them.

The Personal Clothing System (PCS) is the British individual clothing system, the counterpart of the American multi-layer "ECWCS" system. PCS was created to replace the previous-generation Combat Soldier 95 (CS95) clothing set, introducing a number of improvements:

• Modern materials that maximise retention of body heat with less material weight.
• Improved temperature control and regulation through the use of new materials and technologies.
• Better and more convenient use of the clothing together with body armour.
• Faster access through partly doing away with buttons.
• Better and more compact storage of outer garments using integrated stuff sacks.
