Windproof Smock 2 PCS MTP

The MTP Windproof Smock is arguably the finest smock for adverse weather conditions ever to have existed. Since its introduction by the British Army during the Second World War, the smock has undergone many changes, but the basic idea has remained unchanged. For those unfamiliar with the concept of this smock, it is essentially a spacious, windproof and water-repellent outer layer designed to serve long-term, no matter what you do. Today the smock is part of the Personal Clothing System (PCS)issued to servicemen of the British Army. Now the new PCS smock has raised the bar even higher thanks to numerous improvements compared to the previous CS95 model:

• Four large front pockets. The front panels fold down when the pockets are closed, providing protection against contents falling out.
• Below the lower front pockets are vertical hand pockets with fleece lining. A hand fits easily in them even when wearing gloves.
• Two slash vertical chest pockets with zippers and organizers for pens.
• The hood is large enough to wear a helmet under it. The hood has wire stitched in to give it the desired shape. The neckline volume is regulated by drawstrings. When necessary, the hood folds up and is secured at the back.
• Heavy-duty YKK zipper is protected by a wind flap secured with Velcro fastening.
• Cuffs are adjustable with Velcro fasteners, inside the waist are drawstrings for tightening, and the hem of the smock is regulated by shock cord.
• Chest panel with button for attaching rank insignia badges.
• All buttons are Canadian type and hidden under flaps to prevent them from catching on other items.
• Zippers under the sleeves for ventilation.
