The British Army thermal fleece shirt is issued as part of the current PCS clothing system and replaces the popular Norwegian shirt of the obsolete CS95 system. Made from 100% polyester fleece fabric, which is lightweight, quick-drying and offers improved thermal insulation. The shirt has a high zip-up collar with a top cover to keep the zip from rubbing against the neck. Thumb holes in the cuffs prevent the sleeves from riding up, especially when adding other layers of clothing, and also provide extra warmth for the hands. The lower back of the shirt has a "fishtail" cut, providing extra warmth and protection for the "5th point", as well as preventing the shirt from riding up.
The PCS thermal fleece shirt is ideal for winter and extreme cold. It is also perfect for wearing under a waterproof outer layer or on its own in warmer weather.
