Belt Light Olive IRR PLCE

Personal Load Carrying Equipment (PLCE) is the tactical load-carrying system of the British Armed Forces. The basic configuration consists of a belt, yoke and pouches. A series of other similar load-carrying equipment, individual items and rucksacks is associated with the PLCE system, made from the same materials and compatible with it.

Infrared Reflective Remission (IRR) is a technology that reduces the user's visual signature so they blend in with the surroundings when viewed through night vision devices. IRR technology works by creating visual interference caused by multi-layered infrared reflections for each colour in the image, each having a specific reflection wavelength so as to blend with colours in the infrared spectrum. As a result, the user's visibility at night is significantly reduced thanks to a reflectivity that mimics the same wavelength as snow, rocks, various urban structures, trees and other green vegetation.
